Call Volume StatisticsWith a total population of over 105,000 citizens, the Fairfield Fire Department responds to roughly 8,500-9,000 calls for service per year. This task is carried out by a total of five engines and one truck company on duty everyday. All fire stations in Fairfield have been strategically located to provide the quickest response to calls for service. Statistics tell us that call volume has increased every year since 2002. These calls for service vary from medical aids, house fires, brush fires, car accidents, rope rescues, hazardous material spills, fire alarms, flood assistance (water rescue), electrical lines down and good intent calls (caller truly believed an emergency existed). The Fairfield Fire Department allows public access to call volume information in the hopes of educating the public on the importance of fire safety. Since the Fairfield Fire Dept. is an all risk (capable of responding to multiple types of emergencies) agency, the hope is that the public will become more proactive in health and fire safety after viewing these sobering statistics. Regardless of the emergency, the Fairfield Fire Department is always ready to respond 24 hours a day.......7 days a week! Thanks for viewing our Call volume statistics page! Downloads & Information |
