City Council

Vice-Mayor Chuck Timm

Councilmember Chuck Timm

Chuck Timm is the son of a retired Air Force Colonel who was assigned to special missions.  Those missions included flying dignitaries and elected officials to and from various countries for high-level meetings. As a result, Chuck spent four years of his youth living in Europe and the remainder moving about the United States.

Chuck spent his senior year in high school in Fairfield, California, while his father was stationed at Travis Air Force Base.  During that time, he became a member of the Travis AFB Civil Air Patrol. Subsequently, he earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management.

Chuck’s career in law enforcement began and ended in the City of Fairfield.  Chuck worked for the Fairfield Police Department for 31 years and retired in 2004 as a Sergeant.

Chuck was elected to the Fairfield City Council in November of 2007 and is currently an Honorary Squadron Commander of the 60th Operational Support Squadron from Travis AFB.

Chuck met his wife, the daughter of an Air Force Master Sergeant, while living in Fairfield during his senior year of high school.  Chuck and his wife have a son, a daughter, and one granddaughter.
